We’re continuing with Season 2, Culture Wars - Bringing Truth to a Wayward World and Church, where we’re discussing prevalent topics in our culture today and how to view them through a Biblical lens.

In this episode, we have the pleasure of hearing from Brandon Taylor, Founder of Love At Home Ministries, as he shares his story of how he came to faith in Christ, his heart regarding the extent of his past involvement in a Greek Letter Organization, the moment of realization when Brandon felt as though he no longer wanted to be involved, and what that process was like trying to step away.

While sharing his story Brandon also provides a biblical basis for why believers should not be a part of Greek Letter Organizations, Masons, Eastern Stars, “Christian” Greek Letter Organizations, or Secret Societies.

In Today’s First KIIC Episode (Keep It In Context) of Season 2, we will discuss a popular misused verse, Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision the people perish…” This verse is commonly taken out of its original context to say we must have a vision for our life, churches, etc. While there is nothing wrong with having a “vision” or setting goals, that’s not what this verse is talking about. Wrong interpretation leads to the wrong application, which can be very dangerous. Take a listen to hear why and what the proper interpretation of this verse is!

In today’s episode, we're Addressing Homosexuality. We will hear from Dr. Christopher Yuan. Dr. Yuan shares his powerful story of how his life was transformed from being an agnostic gay man, addicted to drugs to becoming a follower of Christ while in prison!

Dr. Yuan also shares the Gospel and gives a biblical analysis for addressing homosexuality, defining terms such as “same-sex attraction” and “desire” biblically. We also give answers to commonly asked questions today regarding homosexuality and how to lovingly address someone who identifies as LGBTQ. Erin Coates, “a slave to Christ” and wife of Pastor James Coates who was jailed earlier this year, shares their experience and consequences for continuing to keep the doors of the church open for individuals to be able to continue to worship together in order to obey God and in respect to the conscience of others. We also discuss the role of the Government and when it is ok for for believers not to comply. Our individual rights and the rights of the church have and are being infringed upon. I encourage you to listen to Pastor Coates’s sermon on Romans 13:1-4 “Directing Government to it’s Duty” that he preached prior to being imprisoned. The link is below in the show notes.
