This classic anti-war film and third Best Picture winner follows a group of young German soldiers as they experience the horrors and disillusionment of World War I. Ian ugly cries, and Maggie says the word gorgeous a billion times. So grab a box of tissues and tune in!

2nd Academy Awards - Broadway Melody

We watched The Broadway Melody (of 1929) about small town sisters Hank & Queenie who struggle to get their act on Broadway. There's bad dancing, awkward set design, and some fantastic ugly crying. Ian talks inappropriate behavior, and Maggie hates on the movie's hero. We had a little trouble with our audio on this one (not unlike The Broadway Melody!) so please bear with us.
